Admission Criteria
- A referral from a Summit County certified treatment program (i.e. Interval Brotherhood Home (IBH), Ramar)
- Ambulatory
- Diagnosis of a substance use disorder
- Completion of a certified Summit County treatment program and treatment goals
- 60-90 days + sobriety
- Enrolled in a certified Summit County aftercare program (active)
- 25+ years old
- Single females
**All potential applicants must complete a New Journey Recovery Housing application and an Interview is required**
Who are we?
New Journey Recovery Housing is a housing provider offering recovery housing to single women who have completed a certified treatment program. Our Level II housing provides a drug free and safe recovery housing environment. The New Journey program provides a structured recovery environment to individuals in the Summit County area and is a staff monitored by a housing manager.
New Journey Supportive Services
The following support services are offered to all New Journey housing residents:
- Case Management Services
- Daily Living Skills
- Employment & Marketing Techniques
- Getting Ahead
- Recovery Coaching
- Transportation Assistance
Housing Amenities:
- Full bathroom with shower
- Fully equipped kitchen: Microwave, Refrigerator & Stove
- Furnished bedrooms with linens supplied
- Furnished living room
- Cable television
- Computer & Internet
- Laundry facility
- Security System/Monitoring
- Telephone
** The New Journey Recovery Housing Program is a staff monitored program**
Other Amenities
- Bus line is located on main Metro bus line
- Local grocers & shopping centers approximately within a 3-5 mile radius
Other Program Requirements
- Adhere to program rules
- Agree to share ½ of Snaps benefits for share food program
- Agree to a program fee *
- Attendance of a 12-step program
- Attend and participate in weekly management
- Complete required support services
- Obtain employment
- Participation in a certified aftercare program
- Submit to random UDS testing
Cost of services
- Clients will receive 90 days of housing services without cost
- Client will be required to sign a fee agreement for payment of 75.00 per week on their 91st day as a shared program fee cost**
- Other cost for bed rates and supportive services will be covered by local funding
Length of Housing
- Each individual residents placement will be viewed on a case-by-case basis
- Completion of individual goals
- Housing compliance of rules
- Maintenance of recovery
